Newry, Maine (Winter 2012/2013)—This winter, Sunday River has a lengthy list of specialty event weeks planned including College Week, Children’s Festival Week, Go50 Week, and White Out Weekend.
College Week—Sunday River’s annual College Week takes place January 7–11, 2013, and caters to students looking to take a hiatus from the books to spend a week on the slopes partying with their peers. With special ski and stay vacation packages available for the week, as well as “One Night Stand” packages available to kids who just can’t commit, college kids don’t have to be math majors to see the savings when lodging, lift tickets, and Perfect Turn clinics are included in all packages.
College Week is a mid-term celebration that includes live entertainment, nightly parties, games, fireworks, and concerts as well as some last-minute surprises.
Children’s Festival Week—Families flock to Sunday River for their one-stop shop for fun and savings. Children’s Week takes place January 14–18, 2013, and offers adult ski and stay packages that include lift tickets, lodging, and Perfect Turn clinics. Best part? Children ages 4–12 ski free, lodge free, rent equipment for free, and take lessons for free when families stay three nights or longer.
Children’s Festival includes activities such as themed kid’s clinics, arts and crafts nights, live entertainment, pajama parties, après parties, teen parties, kid entertainment, and more.
Go50 Week—Go50 Week takes place January 28–February 1, 2013, and is a mid-winter celebration for skiers and riders over the age of 50. Special Go50 Week-long ski and stay packages include lodging, lift tickets, and an adult Perfect Turn clinic each day of their stay.
Activities for Go50 Week include a welcome reception, mountain tours, dinner specials, and après ski socials. Participants love Sunday River’s eight mountains of varying terrain, not to mention the extensive network of on- and off-mountain dining.
White Out Weekend—Taking place February 7–10, 2013, Sunday River’s third annual White Out Weekend, in association with The OutRyders—New England's largest GLBT ski and snowboard club—is all about skiing and riding with friends, slopeside events, parties, and live entertainment. Weekend events includes a Mardi Gras parade, fireworks, après ski socials, and theme and dance parties.
Sunday River’s specialty event weeks provide a great way for friends and families to come together to ski and ride.
