A non-refundable, non-transferable $65 registration fee must be paid at the time of registration and each Trekker is required to have a fundraising minimum of $500. You can register online or email Trek to receive a hard copy of the form. Once you have registered, you can use their online services to promote your fundraising and to track your progress. 24th Annual Bethel Art Fair

The feature event of this area's 4th of July weekend celebration dedicated to arts, cultural events, and activities, is the 24th Annual Bethel Art Fair produced by the Mahoosuc Arts Council. This year's Art Fair will take place on the historic Bethel Common from 9am until 4pm and will feature over 70 of the finest artists and artisan crafters of Western Maine and beyond. Exhibits will include oil, pastel, watercolor, pen and ink, and multi-media paintings; photography, woodworking, metal smith work, jewelry, beadwork, stained glass, pottery, and much. Eastern States Cup Downhill

Sunday River’s downhill mountain bike terrain will host the Maine State Downhill Championship as part of the Eastern States Cup. The event will have more than 16 divisions for men, women, and juniors and the top three in each division will receive awards at the conclusion of each race. The Upper Andro Anglers Alliance in co-operation with Trout Unlimited will host a free family fishing festival on Saturday, June 1. The festival will be held at Angevine Park on the North Road in Bethel, from 9 am to 2 pm, rain or shine. Free casting workshops and fly-tying instruction will be available throughout the day. Families can practice newly learned casting skills in the one acre pond and are welcome to take home their catch. Kids can learn how to tie flies with materials provided by local outfitters and fly shops. Children will be able to take home their hand-tied flies.

Sunday River is the proud host of the New England Golf Camp. This sleepaway golf camp was created for boys and girls, ages 12 through 17, who are passionately focused on the game of golf. Campers will get professional golf instruction in a fun, safe, and rewarding atmosphere, while maintaining a very serious focus on skills development and etiquette. Sessions are available late June through mid August.

Kids ages 8 through 14 kick off a weekend of triathlon fun at the Maine State Kids' Triathlon. A great starter event designed to take the intimidation out of racing, this untimed event allows for kids to take on a 100-yard swim, 3-mile bike, and 1-mile run triathlon course designed just for them. It's the perfect event for those kids whose parents and friends are planning to compete in the Maine State Triathlon the following day, or who just want to get outside and do something fun.
Serious and aspiring triathletes alike love the Maine State Triathlon for its ease and setting. It’s a sprint distance course that takes racers around a half-mile swim loop in the area’s Songo Pond, through a 15-mile bike tour of around the charming New England town of Bethel and its wooded outskirts, and then a 3.6-mile run back around Songo Pond. Race categories include a Kids’ Race (on Saturday, Aug. 4), Individuals, Aquabike (swim and bike legs only), and Team. It's a fun race event for the whole family and registration is now open.

The unofficial kickoff to winter, Sunday River's Fall Festival Weekend takes place througout Columbus Day Weekend, October 12 & 13. Come and celebrate the end of summer with live music, the always-entertaining North American Wife Carrying Championship, the Mountain RAID obstacle race, the 30th Annual Blue Mountain Arts & Crafts Fair, and a full array of activities for the whole family. Spend the weekend surrounded by spectacular foliage, not to mention great deals, good company, and fun times.
The RAID Series is comprised of three obstacle races that take place in downtown Portland, the beaches of Kennebunk, and finally the mountains that make up Sunday River. These runs will challenge your physical fitness, your mental stamina, and your ability to adapt to unique conditions and landscapes. Offering outstanding venues and large scale obstacles such as cargo nets, monkey bars, stair climbs, sand bag carries, tire fields, and much more, the RAID Series is designed for athletes who want a high-quality racing experience focused on performance and personal accomplishment. There is also a 4-mile and 12-mile trail run that takes place the same the morning. The 4-mile Mountain RAID obstacle course starts at 1pm.
