Our trips range from a relaxing day exploring the calm waters of Umbagog National Wildlife preserve to a unique whitewater wilderness adventure on the Rapid and Magalloway Rivers in Western Maine. Magic Falls Rafting Company

Magic Falls Rafting Company is Maine’s fun, safety-conscious, value-priced whitewater outfitter offering daily trips on the historic Kennebec River-a twelve mile stretch of Class I to IV whitewater. Thanks to daily water releases from the Harris Station hydropower dam, there’s plenty of whitewater even during a dry summer. Your whitewater trip includes a hearty outdoor barbecue of steak, chicken, fish or veggie-burger, rice, coleslaw and homemade berry cake. Every Tuesday and Thursday, from June to August, a charter van leaves Sun Valley Sports on the Sunday River Road at 6:45 am for a day rafting trip on the Kennebec River. The van will return by 6:30 pm. The trip includes round trip van transportation to West Forks, raft trip and BBQ. The price is $99 for the first person and $94 for each additional person. Reservations must be made by phoning Magic Falls at 1-800-207-7238 and twenty-four hour advance reservation is required. For those wishing to drive their own vehicle to West Forks (120 miles) Magic Falls offers a 10% discount on regular price raft trips to Sunday River lodging guests. Mention your room or condominium number when making a reservation. |

Northern Waters Outfitters

Northern Waters will be offering some family oriented Class II rafting float trips on the Androscoggin. This is an easy fun level of rafting appropriate for younger ages from 7 years old (60 lbs. min.). The river is beautiful and many opportunities arise in the form of scenic beauty, wildlife and a lot of excitement. These are day trips. Professional River Runners offers full and half-day whitewater rafting trips requiring no experience to participate. They include everything for a day on the Class IV Kennebec River: licensed whitewater guide; shuttles to the river; late morning check-in time; hearty BBQ lunch; digital pictures and DVD of your day! The minimum age to raft is 8. Explore the lush river gorge while enjoying the rolling waves and remote waterfall locations along the trip.
