Zipline Guide

Sunday River is looking for outdoor enthusiasts who want to join our team as summer Zipline Guides! Zipline Guides are ambassadors of Sunday River, leading guests on zipline excursions throughout the resort in a fun and supervised fashion.

Responsibilities include course and equipment maintenance, leading guests on zipline tours and our twin zips course, and ensuring safety for guests and zipline riders while creating a fun and adventurous experience. Guides are expected to facilitate tours in a timely manner, explain local history, and deliver nature-based information when leading tours. Zipline Guides may assist with other summer activities duties and projects as assigned.

Customer service experience is a plus! Typical schedule is Thursday through Sunday in addition to special event dates throughout the summer. Must be 18 years old and must be able to lift in excess of 60lbs to be considered for a Zipline Guide.

Cooks

Sunday River is seeking qualified and motivated cooks for multiple locations and shifts.  We are in need of line cooks, breakfast cooks, banquet cooks and cafeteria cooks.  These positions are seasonal and include full-time and part-time opportunities.  Sunday River needs energetic, motivated, safety and sanitary conscious individuals that are able to multi-task and able to provide a quality product to join our Food & Beverage team. 
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to; preparation and presentation of quality food as directed by Lead Cook, compliance with all sanitation and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean working area and assisting with stocking of inventory.
Qualified candidates must have knowledge of and experience with standard kitchen equipment, the ability to work a flexible schedule, lift up to 50 lbs, be able to climb steps numerous times during the shift.  One (1) year of line kitchen experience or equivalent training is required. Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays is required.  These position includes seasonal benefits.

Culinary Intern

This position is open to culinary students enrolled in an accredited program through a college and has been interviewed by the Sunday River Food and Beverage Team. The culinary intern is responsible for following the expectations of the curriculum designed by the intern's scholastic program and the syllabus established by the assigned direct supervisor.  The intern will be responsible to follow all industry sanitation standards and company policies presented in the Sunday River Handbook, the Food and Beverage Handbook, and departmental expectations.  The intern will work throughout the Sunday River property in a variety of kitchen environments as well as weekly scheduled shifts in the dining/service areas of the various venues.  The intern must be physically able to spend the  majority of their work day  on their feet, climb stairs numerous times during their shift and be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lb. The shifts are both day and night, depending on the unit, and include weekends and holidays.  Shift length will vary form 6 to 12 hours.  The amount of hours may change according to business levels.  A typical week will be determined by the curriculum of the intern's scholastic program and the direct supervisor. The intern must be flexible with regards to schedules and work load, must be able to work as part of a team and  must present a professional manner and  have the ability to maintain their composure during pressure situations resulting from business levels and time constraints.

You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all the various items used in food preparation, presentation and dining dishes. Host/Hostess

Primary responsibilities are meeting, greeting and seating guests in various areas of the restaurant that meet the customer's needs and balances the number of tables per server. Candidates must be professionals, outgoing and friendly individuals able to converse with guests, take accurate orders and deliver food in a timely manner to join us in serving our restaurant guests. Ability to memorize menu's at the restaurant as well as other mountain restaurants is essential.

The candidate must have above average computer knowledge and skills, including and not limited to, RTP, Microsoft office products, typing and communication. Do you have experience managing a busy office and working closely with guests?  Are you organization skills and ability to multi-task above average? The Front Office Manager is responsible for front desk operations as related to guest registration and departure, guestroom keycontrol, room assignments, guests requests, telephone and valet services and any other guests services.  Front desk areas of accountability include: daily payroll analysis, daily bank deposits, front desk shift log review, reservation accuracy and other duties as assigned.  The front office manager will work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager of the hotels as well assumes those responsibilities in their absence.  This position requires knowledge of room reservations utilizing Springer Miller, excellent customer service, communication skills, computer skills and the willingness and the ability to work as part of a team, be a leader and take on any other duties as assigned.  The person chosen for this position will have prior management experience and excellent grooming habits.  Attention to detail is required to be successful in this position. Lift Electrical Technician

Overview:

Join Sunday River's Lift Maintenance team as a Lift Electrical Technician. The Lift Electrical Technician is responsible for performing preventative and curative maintenance for all passenger tramway electrical systems throughout the resort. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge and/or experience of electrical troubleshooting for this role. 

Job Duties Include:

  1. Diagnose and repair lift electrical systems to industry standards.
  2. Maintain documentation as required by industry standards.
  3. Assist with maintenance of on-mountain power system and coordinate with local electricity provider.
  4. Adherence to all Sunday River Resort policies and procedures.
  5. Adherence to all department, Resort, and OSHA Safety policies and procedures.

Working conditions include being outdoors in all types of weather and must be comfortable working at heights. Qualified candidates will have electrical schooling and/or electronic troubleshooting experience.

This position requires someone with mechanical knowledge and experience. Primarily responsible for maintenance  functions of a fleet of vehicles and equipment that falls under the garage's scope of responsibility.  This can include but not be limited to, lift maintenance, vehicle maintenance, snow machines, mowers, small engines, snowmaking equipment and general resort maintenance.  Your own tools are required for this position.  You may be required to work any shift as needed.  Must be able to troubleshoot problems and be able to repair and fix in a timely manner.  Must be able to perform maintenance on ATVs, welders, chainsaws, pumps and other small engine type equipment.

Licensed Massage Therapist

Nail Technician

Volunteer- Mountain Host

Sunday River is looking for Mountain Hosts Volunteers for the winter season.  First and foremost, the Mountain Host position requires strong skiing or snowboarding skills as well as the ability and willingness to adhere to all safety requirements, policies and procedures of Sunday River.  The Mountain Host responsibilities are  two distinct areas, guest service and education  and  on hill maintenance. The duties of the host are as follows, but are not limited to, maintenance functions of the resort to include, fencing, tower raising and lowering tower pads etc., providing quality guest service to all guests, educating guests on safe skiing and snowboarding and assisting patrol with crowd control, scene safety and answering guests questions.  The Mountain Host positions are volunteer positions and require a minimum day commitment to receive a season pass.
