Sunday River Bike Park
The Sunday River Mountain Bike Park is a downhill playground with 25 trails of lift-serviced downhill terrain that stretches out for over 20 miles. Our terrain is best suited for intermediate and advanced riders, but with the addition of the Mountain Bike School and its pump track for new or beginner riders, anyone interested in taking their skills up a "gear" is welcome.
Intermediate riders can choose between moderate single track options, slick rock, and even jump lines and flow trails. Options in the park really open up for advanced riders with plenty of technical single track, steep downhill trails, and manufactured terrain options. Over the last few years the park crew has been hard at work adding new trails and creating machine-built terrain including jumps, berms, and flow trails, and adding log and bridge work. Check out the footage and photos here for a taste of what the park has to offer. If you haven't visited Sunday River for a few years, now's the time to come back and find out what you've been missing.
The bike park is serviced by Sunday River's Chondola lift, which provides high-speed access to a trail network that covers the North Peak and South Ridge areas of the resort, with longer trails branching out from the primary trail network. In addition to downhill terrain, the park also offers a selection of trails suitable for cross-country riding.
Mountain Bike School
For new riders, minimally experienced beginners, or intermediates looking to improve, the Mountain Bike School is a great option for you. Utilizing a new fleet of rental bikes, a pump track, and a 1.5k cross-country loop, the bike school offers a 90-minute clinic that includes bike rental, protective gear, and instruction. Each clinic ends with a lift ride and guided run down through the bike park for those riders ready to tackle the steeper lift-serviced terrain. Class space is limited and reservations are recommended. Call 800-543-2754 to reserve your spot in class.
