About the Maine Beer Company: Freeport based Maine Beer Co. was an idea first conceived on May 2, 2006 while brewer and co-owner David Kleban was in Everglades National Park. After some "really awful beer" and a lot of fun between David and his brother (and co-owner) Daniel, the American pale ale Peeper was born. With the motto "Do what's right," the Maine Beer Company crew donates 1 percent of all sales to environmental nonprofits. Here is a list of some of their highest ranking brews.
About the Mountain Room: The Mountain Room, Sunday River's newest on-mountain eatery and watering hole in the mid-mountain Peak Lodge and is returning for its second season this year with a brand new deck. The brain child of Portland-based Chef Harding Lee Smith, the restaurant focuses on local ingredients with a new twist on Maine flvaors. We reccomend the foie gras torchon or the tomato soup.
