Mark your calendars now for the beer events of the year! The Maine Brew Fest, hitting Sunday River September 8-10, is a craft beer bonanza featuring as many as 50 beer selections from around Maine plus live music, food, a disc golf tournament, and family-friendly activities in our Mountain Park including chairlift rides, ziplines, a climbing wall, and bungee trampoline.  Maine Brew Fest Logo

We like this idea so much that we are hosting a spring session, too, April 6-8, 2018, with more craft brews, spring skiing and riding, live music, on-snow games, and plenty of fun. Stay tuned for those details!

Three levels of Maine Brew Fest tickets will be available:

1. The General Taster: A Maine Brew Fest general admission ticket for $30 that includes a special event glass, 15 four-ounce samples, and a scenic lift ride ticket.

2. The Beer Connoisseur: A $45 Maine Brew Festival ticket that includes a special event glass, 15 four-ounce samples, a scenic lift ride pass, an event t-shirt, and 1-hour early admission to the event. A limited number of these tickets will be available.

3. The Brewmaster: An $89 Maine Brew Fest ticket that includes a Beer Connoisseur ticket plus admission to the Friday night Harvest Moon Beer Dinner. A limited number of tickets will be available; lodging is not included.

Full Moon Beer Dinner 
The Peak Lodge at Sunday RiverKick-off the Maine Brew Fest early--under September's Harvest Moon--at our Full Moon Beer Dinner at the Peak Lodge. A limited number of tickets are available to this reservation-only, six-beer and food paired dinner. Event tickets include a Chondola ride to the mid-mountain Peak Lodge for live music and delicious seasonal food expertly paired with craft brews. Tickets are available to purchase starting Monday, May 29 and are $59 per person for the Full Moon Beer Dinner or $89 for access to the Dinner plus a Brewmaster's ticket to Saturday's Brew Fest.

Brewmaster's Hour 12 - 1PM
The early bird catches the worm--or in this case, first dibs on the samples of the best brews at the Maine Beer Fest. This hour-long early access event is limited to those guests who purchase a Brewmaster Ticket.

Maine Brew Fest 1 - 5PM
The Maine Brew Fest opens at 1PM with as many as 50 selections from top Maine craft breweries. Adults ages 21 and older, with an event ticket, can sample to their heart's content, speak with brewers, and purchase from their selection beer-inspired merchandise.

Sunday River Mountain Park 10AM - 4PM
Plenty of fun is to be had for beer samplers, designated drivers, and their loved ones at our Mountain Park. Located right at the Maine Brew Fest, activities includes chairlift rides, zipline tours, twin ziplines, a bungee trampoline, and a climbing wall.  

Sunday River Disc Golf Tournament 10AM

Do you dominate at doglegs? Are you experienced in elevation changes? Can you maneuver a disc methodically around trails? If so, the Sunday River Disc Tournament is calling on you and your partner to register for this first-ever doubles tournament. Open to pros, experienced, and amateurs, this tournament takes place on our brand new 18-hole disc golf course. Cash prizes! Stay tuned for details.

Live Music 1 - 4PM
This year's guests will be announced soon - stay tuned for details! To give you an idea of where our head is at, recent musical guests to Sunday River include the Singepole Mountain Band, Spencer Albee, and El Grande.  


Kegs n' Eggs Brunch 10AM - 2PM
A little hair of the dog never tasted so good. The Sunday River Brewing Company invites beer enthusiasts to swing by their well-known watering hole located at the mouth of the Sunday River Road for a post-fest medicinal combination of delicious food and brews.

Mountain Park & Bike Park  10AM - 4PM
Mountain Park tickets and passes are available for zipline tours and twin ziplines, a bungee trampoline, and climbing wall, and scenic chairlift rides. The Sunday River Bike Park will also be open with nearly 20 miles of downhill mountain bike terrain, plus e-bike rentals. 

Fest Eats

Grab a burger, sandwich, or salad from Maine-ly Grill located within the Maine Brew Festival beer garden; or snag a sandwich, chips, drinks, and ice cream take-out from the resort's Mountain Grocer located within walking distance. Trails End (a local tavern and dairy bar adjacent to the resort's festival base area) is also open. Dinner plans? Head to Camp restaurant in the Grand Summit Hotel or Grand Ave in the Jordan Hotel for beer and dinner specials, or check out our neighbor Bethel, Maine and their selection of pubs and restaurants.  

Fest Parking

The Maine Brew Fest takes place in Sunday River's South Ridge base area. Free parking is ample and within walking distance to the event venue. Guests staying at one of our two resort hotels can also take our free resort shuttle to and from the event.  

Safety Fest

We encourage all fest-goers to drink responsibly and avoid drinking and driving by spending the night. Remember, parking is free, so there is no need to move your car. Moreover, Sunday River is home to two resort hotels and a network of privately rented condominiums and area homes. Reward your responsibility with a room by calling 800-543-2754.
