Dogs Welcome to Stay and Play at Snow Cap Inn
Dog-friendly rooms available in the heart of Sunday River Resort
Newry, ME (Winter 2016-17)—New this winter, Sunday River Resort will offer dog-friendly accommodations at its Snow Cap Inn. Guests wishing to bring their pet along for a winter vacation can reserve one of six rooms in advance for an additional fee. Dog biscuits will be made available to guests upon check-in, with a free season pass available pooches at the Welcome Center in South Ridge Lodge.
While guests are away from their rooms skiing, snowboarding, and enjoying resort restaurants and activities, pups will be allowed to stay in their rented room; additional fees will apply if there is any damage to the room.
For owners who want to explore with their pups, the region surrounding Sunday River offers ample activities to enjoy with canine companions, including snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Additionally, dogs can play during the ski day at local day care facilities including Barker Brook Kennels (120 Sunday River Road, Bethel, ME; 207-357-2275), or Tucker’s Dog House (340 Walker's Mills Road, Bethel, ME; 207-381-7442).
The Snow Cap Inn is one of the resort’s most budget-friendly and centrally located lodging options, offering close proximity the White Cap, Barker, and South Ridge base areas, the ice skating rink, a large fire pit, and a private outdoor hot tub.
