Stand-up Paddleboarding Yoga Added to L.L.Bean Outdoor Discover Schools at Sunday River Resort
Four-year partnership brings archery, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding courses to the Western Mountains of MaineApril 25, 2017
NEWRY, MAINE (Summer 2017)--Sunday River Resort will once again host the only satellite L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Schools program that isn't affiliated with an L.L.Bean retail establishment. New this summer, guests and visitors to Sunday River will now have access to L.L.Bean's stand-up paddleboard yoga classes, along with beginner archery, kayak, and stand-up paddleboarding instruction beginning June 5, 2017.
All L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Schools programs are based out of the Sunday River's Grand Summit Hotel and are available select midweek days, June 5 through August 17. Courses start at $25 for 80 minutes of beginner instruction and run up to $59 for three-hour tours on kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.
From bow and arrow basics and kayaking fundamentals to guided solo tours of Round Pond in Greenwood, Maine (the birthplace of L.L.Bean founder Leon Leonwood Bean), all activities are available by reservation and open to the public.
Named "Best Mountain Playground" by Yankee magazine, Sunday River also boasts a bike park, ziplines, disc golf, a bungee trampoline, scenic lift rides on the resort's signature Chondola, hiking, a climbing wall, and the award-winning 18-hole Sunday River Country Club designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
