New Maine Brew Fest on Tap at Sunday River Resort

More than 20 Maine breweries participating in new festival at Sunday River Resort September 8-10, 2017

August 30, 2017

Newry, Maine (August 30, 2017)-Sunday River Resort will host its first ever Maine Brew Fest September 8-10, 2017. The event will feature nearly 70 beers from across the state, including varieties from Allagash, Foundation, Banded Horn, Norway Brewing Company, Mason's Brewing Company, and the Maine Beer Company.

With the Mountains of Western Maine as its backdrop, the weekend-long event will also feature a Full Moon Beer Dinner at the resort's mid-mountain Peak Lodge, an oyster-tasting event, the inaugural Sunday River Disc Golf Tournament, and a Kegs 'n' Eggs Brunch finale hosted by the Sunday River Brewing Company.

Doors to the Maine Brew Fest open at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 in Sunday River's South Ridge base area. During the beer tasting event, more than 20 breweries from the state of Maine will present their finest brews while OysterBrew--a culinary experience featuring Maine oysters farmers from Glidden Point Oysters and Mooks Sea Farm--will sell freshly shucked oysters to pair with guests' beer.

The first-ever Sunday River Disc Golf Tournament kicks off at 8 a.m. that morning, Saturday, September 9, on the resort's 18-hole course. An all ages event, Sunday River's Mountain Park is also open during the Maine Brew Fest, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., for easy access to underage fun, including scenic lift rides, zipline tours, a climbing wall, and mountain bike rentals.

Tickets to the Maine Brew Fest are available to pre-purchase online and are $45 after September 1. Each Maine Brew Fest ticket includes unlimited beer samples for adults ages 21 and older, as well as a scenic ride on the resort's signature Chondola chairlift.

Tickets to Sunday River's Mountain Park are available to purchase day-of; Mountain Park activity tickets vary in price.
