OysterBrew Joins First-Ever Maine Brew Fest at Sunday River Resort

Newry, Maine (August 7, 2017)-The best sips, shucks, and shots of Maine will be on display during Sunday River Resort's first-ever Maine Brew Fest, September 8-10, 2017, featuring the state's best beers, oysters, and disc golfers, respectively.
An all ages event, Sunday River Resort's Mountain Park-complete with mountain biking, zipline tours, a climbing wall and a bungee trampoline-is also open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. during the Maine Brew Fest Weekend, providing plenty of options for those underage family members to partake in during an otherwise 21 years and older event.
Full Moon Beer Dinner with Shipyard Brewing
Set under September's Harvest Moon, the Maine Brew Fest will kick off with a reservation-only beer- and food-paired dinner at Sunday River Resort's mid-mountain Peak Lodge on Friday, September 8, 2017. Highlighting seasonal fare with beers brewed by Sunday River Resort partner Shipyard Brewing, the Full Moon Beer Dinner is a reservation-only event open to adults 21 years and older. Tickets are $59 per person and include a round trip scenic Chondola ride to and from the Peak Lodge; a four-course, six-pint dinner; and live music. Maine Brew Fest
On Saturday, guests to the Maine Brew Fest beer tent will welcome the sight of over 20 Maine brewers, including Allagash Brewing Company, Banded Horn Brewing Company, Baxter Brewing Company, Foundation Brewing Company, and the Maine Beer Company--especially given each festgoers access to unlimited samples.
Early bird general admission tickets are $35 when purchased by August 15, and include unlimited samples, an event glass, and a scenic roundtrip chairlift ride on the resort's Chondola. Early bird VIP Beer Connoisseur tickets are also available to purchase for $50 by August 15 and include all of the general admission benefits, plus one-hour of early admission. The Maine Brew Fest beer tent is open from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 (VIP access is from 12-1 p.m.).

Joining the state's top brewers at the Maine Brew Fest are Maine oyster farmers Glidden Point Oysters and Mooks Sea Farm. These two bivalve businesses will come together to form OysterBrew-a culinary experience where their experts pair festgoer brews with freshly shucked Maine oysters. Considered the pearl of the Maine Brew Fest, OysterBrew is located within the festival's beer garden for easy paring access.

Sunday River Disc Golf Tournament
Open to pros, experienced disc golfers, and amateurs, this new duals tournament on Saturday, September 9 during the Maine Brew Fest, boasts cash prizes for the top teams of two and takes place on Sunday River Resort's brand new chairlift-serviced 18-hole disc golf course. The Sunday River Disc Tournament starts at 10 a.m. Registration is currently open at sundayriver.com and is $50 per pro team and $40 per experienced and amateur team.
Kegs 'n' Eggs Finale
The best hair of the dog always comes in brunch form. Sunday River Brewing Company, located at the entrance to Sunday River Resort and one of the brewers participating in the Maine Brew Fest, will come to the aid of many with their Kegs 'n' Eggs brunch on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Reservations recommended: 207-824-4253.
Sunday River Resort encourages all festgoers to reward their responsibility during the Maine Brew Fest Weekend with a room at its Snow Cap Inn, Grand Summit Hotel, or Jordan Hotel, which includes free shuttle service to and from their South Ridge Lodge venue on Friday and Saturday.
