NEWRY, MAINE (February 28, 2025)—Sunday River Resort received over four and a half feet of fresh snow this month, bringing the season total to 100 inches. With eight peaks, 139 trails, and 19 lifts, there is no better time to get out on snow.

The resort hosts some of the most sophisticated lifts in North America, which includes The Barker 6 and Jordan 8. These two Doppelmayr D-Line lifts feature heated ergonomic seats and weather resistant bubbles.

The Jordan 8 offers direct access to wide-open groomers in Jordan Bowl and expert terrain in Oz, while the Barker 6 serves some of Sunday River’s most iconic runs, from the steeps of Agony and Right Stuff to the flowing groomers of Ecstasy and Cascades. With increased uphill capacity and faster ride times, these lifts allow skiers and riders to maximize their time on the mountain in comfort and style.

With The Most Dependable Snow in New England, Sunday River offers an easy escape for those seeking world-class skiing and snowboarding without a long drive. Located less than three hours from Boston and just 90 minutes from Portland, the resort provides quick access to some of the East's most diverse terrain.
