We know you have many options for lodging, and we're glad that you're staying with us. Whether you’re carving the slopes, enjoying the summer sun, or taking in the foliage, the mountains of Western Maine have so much to offer in any season.

Using this guide, you'll have the most up-to-date information on available amenities, hotel questions, and more. If you can't find what you're looking for, give the front desk a call and they would be happy to assist you.

Please contact the Front Desk by text at 207-218-0056 on the day of your arrival to see if your room is ready before these times. If available, we would be pleased to provide you with an earlier check-in time.

Checkout

Daily: 10:30AM

In order to honor our check-in time, we must also honor our checkout time.

To inquire about a late checkout, please contact the Front Desk on the morning of your departure.

To inquire about staying additional nights, please contact either the Front Desk by dialing '0' from your room phone; or Reservations by calling 800.543.2754.

You will be issued a parking permit upon check-in that allows you to park in lots specific to the Grand Summit Hotel. Vehicles parked without a valid parking permit, or any vehicle illegally parked may be towed at the owner's expense.

Please note the Grand Summit Hotel offers only generic EV charging stations. We recommend bringing a converter for your charger to ensure you can charge your EV.

Winter-Only Services

In the winter, there are free resort and area shuttles for your use during your stay.

Easily print your RFID Go Card from one our convenient, self-service Pick Up Box (PUB) kiosks located at the Grand Summit Hotel, Jordan Hotel, Snow Cap Inn, and South Ridge Welcome Center.

First, purchase your lift tickets online in advance. Next, scan the barcode from your confirmation email at the PUB kiosk. Last, the kiosk will print all of the RFID Go Cards in your order.

Your RFID Go Card is a reloadable, reusable lift ticket. You may reload your Go Card with additional lift tickets at any time and do not need to print a new card.

This is a family-friendly environment. Please act accordingly

  • No lifeguard on duty
  • No running on pool deck
  • No diving
  • Pool deck may be slippery, especially during the winter months
  • No alcoholic cans or bottles
  • No glass in the pool, hot tub, patio, or health club
  • Guests must shower before entering the pool or hot tub
  • 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult
  • Guests may be asked to leave the pool and health club area at the discretion of hotel staff

Staffed ski check is available. Ski check is staffed 30 minutes before lifts open, and closes 30 minutes after lifts close. However, you can still access ski check 24 hours a day by contacting the Front Desk.

You may not keep or store equipment (i.e. skis or snowboards) in your hotel room.

Hotel guests may store baggage either before check-in or after checkout with the Front Desk.

The Grand Summit Hotel and the Jordan are not pet-friendly accommodations. Sunday River offers dog-friendly accommodations at the Snow Cap Inn.

As part of the Forever Project, we're focused on achieving a sustainable future together. During your stay, please help us to conserve in the following ways:

Reuse your towels to reduce water and energy consumption, as well as detergent waste water.

Put towels requiring replacement in your tub or sink, and leave those you feel are acceptable for you to reuse hanging on the towel bars. We will refresh towels to your preference.

Allow us to recycle used soap if you do not plan to take it with you.

Sunday River participates in the Clean the World soap recycling program, and as such, we collect used soap in a separate receptacle during our room cleanings to process for recycling. Please do not throw away your used soaps into the trashcan.

No vehicle idling when checking in or out of our hotels.

Sunday River has a no vehicle idling policy. Please turn off your car engine when loading and unloading your vehicle.

Our housekeeping and maintenance teams are on-site daily to serve you. For amenity delivery or maintenance requests to your room, please call the Front Desk by dialing '0' from your room phone. Amenity delivery is on-demand and we can usually deliver an item within 30 minutes of a request.

Please place the “Do Not Disturb” sign outside your door if you prefer not to receive housekeeping service.

There is a long list of amenities available for delivery, including extra blankets, extra sheets, extra pillows, portable crib, cot, towels, soap, shampoo, tissues, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee, and coffee supplies; and if your room has a kitchen, we can also deliver dish liquid, dishwasher soap, kitchen towels, dishwashing towels, sponges, cloth napkins, placemats, and any and all kitchen utensils, dishes, pans, etc.

Free to use laundry machines are available on the Second Floor in the North Wing and Ground Floor in the South Wing.

Ice machines are located on the Second Floor in the North wing and Ground Floor in the South Wing. There are no vending machines in the hotel but a variety of snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the Front Desk and Resort Dining options are available throughout the resort. 

In-room climate controls are located on the unit under the window, not on the wall thermostat. Please contact the front desk if you require assistance.

Sunday River accepts cashless forms of payment only. If you would like to use cash, you may purchase a gift card at the Welcome Center in South Ridge Lodge or the front desk at either the Grand Summit Hotel or the Jordan Hotel.

There are also ATMs available for guests at both the Grand Summit Hotel and Jordan Hotel.

If your room has a kitchen or kitchenette, it will have the following items: plates, glasses, coffee mugs, cutlery, paring knife, carving knife, cutting board, can opener, cork screw and bottle opener, vegetable peeler, whisk, spatula, tongs, wooden spoons, serving spoons, baking spatula, measuring spoons, measuring cup, mixing bowls, masher, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, beverage pitcher, cookware set, casserole dish with lid, colander, salt and pepper shakers, and ice cube trays.

Rooms with a full kitchen (not kitchenette) have an oven, including a broiler pan and cookie sheet.

Each room has a drip-style coffee maker all of the required supplies to make and enjoy a cup of coffee. Decaf coffee is available by contacting the Front Desk.

If your room has a queen-sleeper sofa, its bedding is located in the closet. If you would like our team to set up this bed for you, please contact the Front Desk to schedule this service.

In the event of a fire or other emergency, proceed to the nearest stairwell exit and exit the building as per the directions as shown on the back of your door. Remember, the nearest exit may not be the way you entered the building.

DO NOT use the elevators unless instructed to do so by rescue personnel.
