Sunday River Outfitters, located in the South Ridge courtyard, serves as your Western Maine base camp for fun! Explore the region with us and learn a new skill this summer.

  • Activity Level: Easy

    Archery Course

    Our 60-minute Archery Course is a great introduction to lifelong archery enjoyment. With tips on best practices from our instructors, you'll learn how to release an arrow with optimal accuracy and precision. All necessary archery equipment is provided.

    Intro to Kayaking Course

    Our 90-minute Intro to Kayaking Course is a fun way to learn basic skills and safety techniques necessary to enjoy exploring the many Maine waterways.

    Intro to Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Course

    Try the exciting sport of Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) in this 90-minute introductory course. Learn fundamental paddle strokes, water safety skills, and enjoy scenic waters. All necessary equipment is provided.

    Axe Throwing

    Our 60-minute Axe Throwing gives you the opportunity to hone your skills with optimal accuracy and precision. All necessary equipment is provided.

  • Activity Level: Easy

    Kayak Tour

    Take a 3-hour guided kayak tour of beautiful Round Pond in Greenwood, ME - birthplace of L.L.Bean founder Leon Leonwood Bean. Registered Maine Guides will lead a tour sharing knowledge of plants, wildlife, and local history around the pond. All necessary paddling equipment is provided.

  • Activity Level: Intermediate

    Guided Hike

    This 3-hour guided hike will take you up Buck's Ledge, a 3.5 mile trail known for its spectacular views and wildlife viewing opportunities. Our experienced guides will share their knowledge of the local flora and fauna and the storied history of this region of Western Maine.

  • Kayaking Tour

    • Kayak Tour shuttle buses leave the South Ridge base lodge at 1:15PM. 
    • Check-In: South Ridge Welcome Center - please arrive 15 minutes early to your session. 

  • Intro to Stand-Up Paddleboarding 

    1.5-Hour Session
    Monday & Wednesday: 2:30-4PM
